I am still dreaming, hoping, wishing and praying for a chicken coop so I can have chickens again. The love one feels chickens once you have raised them can't be replaced by anything else. I had to give up my darlings back in 2008 due to having to move and I have yet to pass one full day without my heart hurting just a twinge at missing them.

Chickens on the Horzion
Hello World! For the first time since 2008, for the first time, I can see the horizon. Now that was a long hard dark climb but it was all worth it to get to where I am today.
Now I see that the only way to get to where I am today was to climb the ragged and dangerous mountain.
I will sit for awhile and enjoy the view, and rest. (Photo on left was taken in 2008. The white building is our chicken house (built it ourselves). The little red outhouse-looking building was my hay barn. This picture is happiness. Tweet

Darth's and Ms. Quail's Home
The Grapes of Wrath hits beloved chickens in the year 2010. My darlin's went from a wonderful chicken house with windows and doors, perfect roost bars, even heat and music and light to this hovel. I have since been forced to give away my babies because life was hard to us as well as our chickens. I also gave away my Cayuga ducks. My heart still hurts to this day. But they sure got nice homes and I know they are happy.
